Monday, January 24th will be the worst day of the year. [Jan. 20th, 2005|08:49 pm]

No, seriously, Monday really will be the worst day of the year. Some guy actually calculated it out based on the timeless formula 1/8W+(D-d) 3/8xTQ MxNA where W: Weather, D: Debt, d: Money due in January pay, T: Time since Christmas, Q: Time since failed new year resolution, M: General motivational levels, and NA: The need to take action.

Why would I blog about something clearly visible on slashdot?! Because I have good, original, unique things to do on Monday, including the following:

  • School starts! (I'm excited because I'm bored)

  • I have a job interview! (which I'm going to try and reschedule tomorrow, since I may not make it back to my next class, and that would kinda suck

  • A new Antiques Roadshow at 8pm on PBS! (okay, that one is bullshit. True, but nothing I care about).

So, yeah, I take issue with this "worst day of the year" stuff. I'll let you know how it turns out on Tuesday, though.

And don't ask wtf that professor was smoking; we can't get it in the states.

I get to fight with the history department first thing (in interview clothes, even) on Monday to get into my last general education class. Namely, HIST 168; Images of America. It's a humanities artsy fartsy class that apparently has LOTS of writing required. Every other class from now on is directly required by the major, even if it's math, or physics, or whatever (biology? god, I hope my bio class from shasta counts).

That's another annoying thing; they let you in to this fancy university, and don't get around to telling you what you've already accomplished at other colleges until almost a year later. I should have a good idea of where I stand sometime in May. Gah.
