Starting to dislike the weather [Nov. 3rd, 2004|02:27 pm]
[mood |coldstill cold]
[music |The drip drip drip of water from the roof - ambiance]

Well, it wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't always freezing. You see, sitting in front of the computer tends to not really burn a lot of calories, and research shows that those who don't burn tonnes of calories tend to have slow metabolisms. A slow metabolism means that it takes longer for a person to burn the calories that they need to to keep up body temperature, do chemical reactions, all that. Ergo, I am a freezing cold computer nerd. Why couldn't I be born with hyperthyroidism [1]?

Furthermore, it is cold and rainy outside, and I wanted to lay in the sun like a certain cat I could mention, whom is currently stealing my body heat. Finally, the owners grand backyard construction plan[2] requires that any sort of whole-house environmental control system be removed so the heavy equipment can make its way to the back from the street [3].

[1] Just kidding, really. That would kind of suck.
[2] Currently on its fifth or sixth draft [4]
[3] Which means heavy equipment buzzing past my window in the morning. And jackhammering. Oh, how I loathe the jackhammer...[5]
[4] Being that of solid concrete and a pool/spa combo. Who needs greenery?
[5] Next door (on the other side of the house) is building their pool now also; hence I can already loathe the jackhammer. And the gigantic hydraulic chisel. Good lord, make the buzzing stop!! [6]
[6] In this respect I am enjoying the rain today, because it means I don't have a motivation to go postal on the help[7].
[7] Okay, the footnote thing was cute the first three times, but at this point I'm annoying myself.
